There were also some lovely churches, one of which was open so we went in

A freaky sculpture also in front of the MFA.
After the church we headed to dinner at a place that had EXCELLENT pizzas and paninis ... Kurt had a Mediterranean Pizza and I had a made-to-order panini with fresh mozzarella, spinach, horseradish sauce, artichoke hearts and topped with arugula - AWESOME!!!
After that we headed to explore the McGill University campus, which Kurt tells me is the "Harvard of Canada." It certainly has a beautiful campus like Harvard does!

After exploring McGill, we walked back home via Rue Sainte-Catherine and came upon a more beautiful church than before! Well, at least from the outside ... as they had their stained glass windows lit from inside! We actually saw the inside today, Day 2, so you'll see those pics in the following post. But, here are some from the outside and at night.

They had a cool light show in front of St. James

From there we found a mall with an IGA grocery store, yes - in a mall, and a fancy mall at that! We got some milk, bread, juice and then headed home. It was almost 9pm at that point and we were BEAT! It had been a helluva 6. I didn't use my walking app to see how long we walked, but we both suspect it was miles ... and that doesn't include the uphill hike/rock climbing!
One last night view from our mini-balcony after we got home.
Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for tomorrow's Montreal adventures as we head back to Rue Sainte-Catherine to do some shopping, find another marvelous church, and then head to Vieux Montreal (old Montreal) and the Old Port for the evening.
Again, here is a link to all the pictures I took for Day 1's evening: Honeymoon Day I, Part III, Evening
Hope to see you back here again!
